Stabilizing filters ФСДВ (hereinafter – stabilizing filters) are intended for final cleaning from mechanical impurities and oil, and also regulation and automatic maintenance of air pressure for feeding pneumatic devices and automation equipment.
They are manufactured in two versions: ФСДВ-6 and ФСДВ-10.
Type of connection to external pneumatic lines of the air pressure stabilizing filter: 00‑01‑1 (pipe 8х1 mm) or 00‑02‑2 (pipe 6´1 mm) as per GOST 25165-82.
Stabilizing filters in corrosion-resistant version “Ор” are intended for operation in an environment containing up to 10 mg/m
3
of hydrogen sulfide and (or) sulfur dioxide and, in emergency conditions (for 3–4 h), up to 100 mg/m
3 of hydrogen sulfide and (or) sulfur dioxide up to 200 mg/m
3.
Design and operation
- Pressure stabilizing filters are based on the method of force compensating, at which the moment developed by the setting spring, is balanced by a moment developed by the operating (output) pressure on the membrane.
- Operation of pressure stabilizing filter comes to this, that upon variation of operating, or output pressure due to change in input pressure or flowrate of the output air, the force of air acting to the membrane from below varies, and force balance of the stabilizer mobile system is disturbed; consequently, this system is displaced up to obtaining a new balanced position.
- In the course of operation, it is necessary to conduct continuous monitoring of the condition of pressure stabilizing filters and the operability of connecting lines.
- Filtering element often installed in pressure stabilizing filters, ensures air cleaning with a degree of 99.95%, with proper quality of supply air preparation during at least 3,000 h.
